Can't Get it to Run December 30, 2008 tomminny I cannot get this to run on my Dell Dimension... The other two Crazy Machines ran fine... My son was so excited to get this for Christmas and has yet to be able to use it. I have sent two emails with my computer details to the company and not response yet... Upgraded my graphics drivers and Direct X as stated on their website...still cannot get past the CM2 "Gears Screen"... Anyone that has any ideas...I would love to hear from you! Tom
Leaves a lot to be desired. Skip this program. December 27, 2008 Martin J. Feeney 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a difficult piece of software to use. First, installing in a pain on Vista. The program has to be installed from the administrator account. If not, the installation fails without any explanation as to why (how difficult is it to check for authorization levels during the install?). The serial number is case sensitive but there's no message to indicate that all caps are required. Learning the program requires a PhD. The second lesson in the tutorial is inconsistent. It says "a stone would be perfect" but a stone isn't available. Asking for a hint costs 200 points. What does this mean. Can someone spell G-A-R-B-A-G-E? How do I get a refund?
help December 25, 2008 Danielle J. Leitzke (WA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The game doesn't have a serial number with it! When i went to install it it ask for the serial number, but it is no where to be found :( the paper inside says the serial number can be found in the manual, and that the manual can be printed off once the game is installed..... what the hell!?
very difficult to run on a "normal" machine December 15, 2008 Dirk Truman (CT) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would think twice (thrice?) about buying this product. I read the negative reviews about how it might not run on my pc, but having two reasonably new and well spec'ed laptops, I figured I could give it a shot. It simply won't run on one of them and the other laptop, with 2gb of memory and on which I can run World of Warcraft at high res with few problems, can only simply load the game, not really play it. If you have a desktop with a hot graphics card you can take your chances. But remember, more important than not being able to run the game, consider that you may end up like me with a very disappointed 7-year old that can't play the game.
My 7yo kid loves it October 24, 2008 roby 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My young kid loves it. The game can be extremely challenging. I believe it is a productive way of spending time.
