4 out of 5 stars Great older Tactical Shooter   November 12, 2008

OK it's a little old with outdated graphics BUT this was my second Tom Clancy (first was Splinter Cell) and by far the best. I can't believe it still has good online support. I have 15-20 low ping servers to choose from and can play coop most anytime day or night on tons of custom maps. I like the slow pace and don't miss the run-n-gun of most FPS. I got a copy about 6 months ago and quickly got 2 more for LAN play. For those of us (50+) looking to play an online shooter where the pre teens don't dominate, careful planing helps and you don't just 'shoot everything that moves' Raven Shield will fit the bill.

5 out of 5 stars Good   February 7, 2008

Over all this game is really good. The best features are being able to completley custimize your team, and create a plan of attack. The terriost are dumber on easy and smarter on hard, but they are always fun to shoot at. The game is really realistic in that, if you get hit hard you either die or are injured and when you are injured the next shot will kill you and while you are injured you can't run and shooting isn't as acurite. You do have a lot of people (team members) that you can become once dead. There are a lot of different tatical aspects too.

Cons, This game does have a few cons though, first you can't jump which does elimnate the stupid bunyy hopping shooting fanatics on multyplayer, but you can't clear opsticals or do some other stuff. The planing stage is also kinda difficult to do so it is exicuted perfectly, (luckly the computer has a alread set plan for most levels) and lastly some of the explosives either need a really well cordinted plan or they don't make any sense.

over all this is a sweet game and i would recomend it.

Even after the years sense its release, it is still a number one game in the rainbow six line up. From the planning of the single play missions to the online ownage ubi know what they were doing and did it right.
Tight controls, the best graphices of its day, and a nice list of real weapons from 92sf pistal to the m60e4 light machinegun make it the winner it is.

4 out of 5 stars Great Game   June 8, 2007

This is my first attempt at a rainbow six game and I am impressed. I really enjoy it. It has a training section that really helps and gets you up and running in a jiffy. I did the training a few times and was pretty good in no time. This game is pretty comparable to SWAT 3 & 4.
Customizable teams. You choose the clothes and weapons(there are a bunch to choose from, including explosives like breachers and Flash bangs). You can even set up snipers. Cool feature is that you can toggle between players. In game cooperation is essential and not really a lone wolf game. Their is also a muliplayer feature.
I'm convinced and I am now on board with rainbow six. When I'm done I'll try one of the newer ones. Hope this helps

Good game, nice play, the fact you can't jump makes it just to unrealistic ~_~
