For those who don't know this game, it's a DOS game from 1994, it came before Tomb Raider, it's the unofficial sequel to "Flashback: The Qest for Identity" (one of the best PC platformers ever), and it was one of the first games to offer hi-res SVGA graphics. The last time I played this was back in 1995, with the assistance of the playing guide, and my CD got badly scratched soon after and I could never install the game again.

Fortunately, I managed to buy a mint-condition second-hand copy from a seller in the Amazon Marketplace, and now after installing the game (you will need real DOS-mode, or DosBox to run in WinXP) and running it again, nostalgia washes over me in waves. The game has an awesome soundtrack, the control system is superb, the puzzles are challenging but not impossible, and the story is superb. I'll never forget that line in the first level, in the prison where you have to escape: you run into a Mongoloid who stands in the way of the exit and says in the deepest most malicious voice "You never should have left your cell..." Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear that line...

Everything about this game oozes with greatness. It's also one of the few games I remember playing ages ago that had multiple endings, which is always a great reason to play over, if the game hadn't captivated you already... :)

If you manage to find a copy of the game and are willing to go through the effort of getting it to run, do yourself a favor and engross yourself in Conrad's world of Fade To Black. You won't regret it.
